The Wati alternative with 6 seats included and no markup on Meta's rates
Zappio, a Wati alternative on Meta's official WhatsApp API, includes 6 seats and 10 chatbots on its Standard plan for ₹4,000/month on a yearly term, or ₹5,000/month billed quarterly, plus 18% GST. On 17 September 2026 Wati's Growth plan was $59 a month billed yearly for 3 users with no extra users, so a team of 4 or more needs Pro ($119, plus $39 per user after 5); on Zappio you pay Meta directly at Meta's published rates, and Zappio adds nothing on top.
Wati figures checked on 17 September 2026 on Wati's pricing page, plan comparison, rate cards and help articles, each linked where it is used.
If you are comparing Wati alternatives, you may already use Wati or have just priced it, and something doesn't fit: the team has outgrown 3 users, 2 chatbots are not enough, or you would rather pay Meta's message rates directly. This page sets the two side by side, shows the sums, and says where Wati is the better buy.
Zappio is made by TABSYST, with offices in India and Dubai (UAE). It is a WhatsApp business messaging platform on Meta's official API, with a shared inbox, chatbots, broadcasts and bookings. Both products run on Meta's platform, so what differs is the plan around it and who you pay for each message.
Wati vs Zappio at a glance
Wati shows different prices by region and page language, so check its pricing page from your own country. Wati's rupee prices for India, as listed in its pricing data, are under Wati pricing in India below.

Wati's Business plan ($279 a month billed yearly, 5 users, extra users at $89 a month) is left out to keep the table readable; Zappio's larger plans are on Zappio pricing. Provider names identify their products; Wati is a trademark of its owner (Clare.AI Limited); figures belong to their owners and may change.
What the plan costs at 3 users and at 6
Start with the case for Wati. If your team is 3 people or fewer and 2 chatbots with no webhooks are enough, Wati's Growth plan, at $59 a month billed yearly or $69 monthly on its pricing page (17 September 2026), costs less than Zappio Standard. Messages are paid for separately on both, and are compared below.
The picture changes at the fourth user. Growth cannot add one (Wati's help centre confirms it), so the team moves to Pro: $119 a month billed yearly for 5 users, plus $39 a month per extra user. For a team of 6, before tax and before message charges on both:
| Team of 6 | Wati Pro + 1 extra user | Zappio Standard, 6 seats included |
|---|---|---|
| Yearly billing, per month | $119 + $39 = $158 | ₹4,000 + 18% GST |
| Yearly billing, over 12 months | $1,896 | ₹48,000 + 18% GST |
| Shortest term, per month | Monthly: $149 + $39 = $188 | Quarterly: ₹5,000 + 18% GST |
Nothing is charged per user inside Zappio's 6 seats; the rupee comparison with Wati's India prices is below. Beyond 6 users, extra seats on Standard are ₹400 a month each, against $39 a month per extra user on Wati Pro.
Wati pricing in India
Wati serves visitors in India rupee prices, according to the price feed its pricing page loads for India, read on 17 September 2026. These figures come from the data the page loads, not from the page as it renders in India, so if you are in India, check the page yourself first. The feed lists Growth at ₹2,199 a month billed yearly, Pro at ₹4,899 a month billed yearly, and each extra user on Pro at ₹1,299 a month. It also carries a ₹699 extra-user price against Growth, but Wati's help centre says Growth takes no additional users, so the sum below assumes a team of 6 moves to Pro.
On yearly billing, that is ₹4,899 + ₹1,299 = ₹6,198 a month on Wati's Pro plan. Zappio Standard is ₹4,000/month on a yearly term, plus 18% GST, with 6 seats included: ₹2,198 a month less, or ₹26,376 over a year. Wati's pricing page says its prices exclude taxes, so both figures are before tax and message charges. For 3 users or fewer, Growth keeps the lower plan fee.
And in the UAE
Wati publishes no plan price in dirhams: its price feed for the UAE lists US dollar plans, and neither its English nor its Arabic pricing page showed AED on 17 September 2026.
Message charges: Wati's rate card and Meta's own
The plan fee is fixed; the message line grows with your list. On 17 September 2026 each Wati plan card on its pricing page said messages are "Charged based on WATI rate card", a linked PDF, and Wati's help centre says messages need prepaid credits.
Wati's rupee rate cards, updated 1 July 2026 and read on 17 September 2026, list a marketing message to an Indian number at ₹1.03572 on the Growth card and ₹0.99257 on the Pro card. Meta's rate for the same message is ₹0.8631 on its India card effective 1 July 2026, unchanged on its 1 October 2026 card. By our arithmetic, that puts Wati's Growth figure 20% above Meta's rate and its Pro figure 15% above; the percentages are our calculation, not figures Wati states.
| Marketing message to India | Per message | Per 1,000 | Above Meta (our arithmetic) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Meta's rate (card effective 1 July 2026) | ₹0.8631 | ₹863.10 | None |
| Wati Growth card (updated 1 July 2026) | ₹1.03572 | ₹1,035.72 | 20% |
| Wati Pro card (updated 1 July 2026) | ₹0.99257 | ₹992.57 | 15% |
Zappio has no message rate card. You pay Meta directly, on your own payment method, at Meta's published rates, and Zappio adds nothing on top.
Viewed from the UAE on 17 September 2026, Wati's English page linked Growth and Pro to Wati's published USD rate card, dated 1 February 2025; we have not compared it with Meta's current card. Meta prices by the recipient's country: a marketing message to a UAE number is $0.0499 on Meta's card effective 1 July 2026 and $0.0576 on its card effective 1 October 2026, about eighteen fils rising to about twenty-one fils at the 3.6725 peg.
Whichever provider you use, Meta's pricing page says that from 1 October 2026 service messages are charged per message after the first 1,000 delivered service messages a month per business phone number, and utility templates sent inside an open 24-hour window are charged too. The full card is on WhatsApp API pricing.
Billing terms and free trials
Wati lets you pay monthly: its English pricing page showed monthly and annual billing on 17 September 2026, and its help centre lists monthly, quarterly or yearly. Annual plans come with free dedicated onboarding.
Zappio's shortest term is quarterly, paid upfront. Half-yearly billing takes 10% off and yearly takes 20% off, so Standard is ₹5,000/month, ₹4,500/month or ₹4,000/month on those three terms, plus 18% GST.
Wati's pricing page offered a 7-day free trial on 17 September 2026; its comparison pages say no credit card is required, and its trial article sets the limits: trial messages go only to your own number, and templates cannot be submitted for approval. Zappio Standard's free trial is 14 days.
When Wati is the better choice
Wati is the better fit if one of these is you.
- 3 users or fewer, on a tight budget. Growth's plan fee is lower than Zappio Standard's, as long as 2 chatbots and no webhooks are enough; messages are charged from Wati's rate card on top.
- You need monthly billing. Wati offers monthly billing. Zappio's shortest term is a quarter, paid upfront.
- You want WhatsApp Business Calling or RCS. Wati's plan comparison listed both on Growth, Pro and Business on 17 September 2026. Zappio offers neither.
- You need a ready HubSpot or Salesforce integration. Wati's pricing page listed HubSpot from Pro and Salesforce on Business on 17 September 2026. On Zappio, both are REST API and webhook work.
- You want 24/7 chat support. Wati's help centre listed 24/7 email and chat support on Pro and above on 17 September 2026. Zappio's team supports customers in India and Gulf hours.

Where Zappio fits better
- Teams of 4 or more. Standard has 6 seats included in one shared inbox, and extra seats are ₹400 a month each.
- More than 2 chatbots without upgrading. Standard runs 10 active chatbots on the flow builder, with handover to a person.
- API and webhooks without upgrading. The REST API and outbound webhooks are part of Standard.
- Bookings in the chat. Customers book from your open slots, and reschedule or cancel in the same chat.
- Scheduled broadcasts without upgrading. Campaigns of up to 5,000 recipients each, scheduled or recurring, with delivery reports.
- Prices in rupees, dirhams or US dollars. Each is set separately, not converted.
- Setup and migration done with you. We create the workspace, move your number and submit your first templates with you, at no charge, usually the same day; Meta's number verification can add a few hours.
Switching from Wati and keeping your number
Your number can come with you; templates and chat history do not move on their own.
- Time it to your Wati term. Wati's terms, read on 17 September 2026, say paid subscriptions are non-cancellable and non-refundable, and its payment terms, read the same day, say downgrades take effect at the end of the billing cycle. Plan the move for the end of your current term.
- Export what you need from Wati first. Copy out your contact list, your template wording and any records you need to keep while your Wati account is still active.
- Connect the number to Zappio. Zappio connects numbers through Meta's Embedded Signup, with its own step for a number moving from another provider: it asks for the number's two-step verification PIN, then finishes registration.
- Re-create and submit your templates. We rebuild them with you and submit them to Meta, whose review can take up to 24 hours.
- Rebuild your bots and invite the team. Rebuild your flows in the flow builder, and upload your exported contact list as a CSV when you send your first campaign.
The number stays the same, so the WhatsApp links on your website and your QR codes keep working. Meta's messaging limits are set per business portfolio, and a new portfolio starts at 250 unique customers in a rolling 24 hours, so if the move means a new portfolio, hold large campaigns until the limit grows.
Send us your team size and your Wati renewal date through the setup form, and we will plan the move around it with you.
Checking other Wati competitors
Whichever Wati competitors you shortlist, Interakt and AiSensy included, check five things: seats and the price of the next one, bots on the entry plan, the per-message price against Meta's, billing currency and shortest term, and what the trial allows. Our WhatsApp API pricing guide keeps a table of all three, dated 12 September 2026; its Wati row predates the 17 September figures on this page.
Wati alternative: questions people ask
Wati is a WhatsApp Business API platform with a team inbox, chatbots, broadcasts and integrations, sold mainly as Growth, Pro and Business plans. Its terms, read on 17 September 2026, name the operator as Clare.AI Limited, in Hong Kong. Messages are paid from prepaid credits on top of the plan fee.
It depends on team size. For 3 users or fewer and at most 2 chatbots, Wati's Growth plan ($59 a month billed yearly on its English pricing page, 17 September 2026) has a lower plan fee than Zappio Standard. From 4 users Wati needs at least Pro, at $119 a month billed yearly, and Zappio Standard, with 6 seats included, costs less. Every Zappio term and currency is on Zappio pricing.
We don't pick a winner between two other companies; compare them on plan fee, seats and the price of a marketing message against Meta's. For Wati, this page has all three: Growth is $59 a month billed yearly for 3 users on its English pricing page, and its Growth rate card (updated 1 July 2026) lists ₹1.03572 per marketing message to India, 20% above Meta's ₹0.8631 (card effective 1 July 2026) by our arithmetic, both read on 17 September 2026. Interakt's figures are in the provider table on WhatsApp API pricing, dated 12 September 2026 and linked to Interakt's pricing page.
Compare them for your own team size and message volume. On Wati, a team of 6 needs Pro at $119 a month billed yearly plus $39 for the sixth user on its English pricing page, and its Pro rate card (updated 1 July 2026) lists ₹0.99257 per marketing message to India, 15% above Meta's ₹0.8631 (card effective 1 July 2026) by our arithmetic, both read on 17 September 2026. AiSensy's plan fee, seats and per-message prices are in the provider table on WhatsApp API pricing, dated 12 September 2026 and linked to AiSensy's pricing page.
Wati is a WhatsApp Business API platform, and its pricing page lists CRM as integrations: 2 Commerce/CRM integrations on Growth, 5 including HubSpot on Pro, and unlimited including Salesforce on Business (17 September 2026). Zappio's CRM module, with a pipeline, leads and follow-ups, is included on Premium and a paid add-on on Standard.
Yes. Zappio connects numbers through Meta's Embedded Signup, with a step for a number moving from another provider that asks for its two-step verification PIN. Templates and chat history do not move automatically, so export what you need from Wati first; we re-create your templates with you and submit them to Meta, at no charge.
No. You pay Meta directly, on your own payment method, at Meta's published rates, and Zappio adds nothing on top. That includes the service-message charges Meta starts on 1 October 2026, after the first 1,000 delivered service messages a month per business phone number.
Setup and the number move are usually done the same day; Meta's number verification can add a few hours, and Meta's template review can take up to 24 hours. Time the move to the end of your Wati term, since Wati's terms (read 17 September 2026) say paid subscriptions are non-refundable. You can start the setup here.
